What exactly is PowerSchool?
PowerSchool is a web-based student information system (SIS) from Apple Computers. It simplifies data-driven decision making by providing real-time information to all stakeholders — over the Internet. Administrators get the most accurate information to make more effective decisions. Teachers gain timesaving administrative tools, parents gain immediate access to their children’s grades, and students can track their own progress.
How do I use PowerSchool?
All you have to do is log on using your web browser. You should have received a letter early in the school year containing your user name and password for PowerSchool. All you need to do is select the appropriate link above. After you enter your user name and password, you will have access to view your child's grades. You can even view individual assignment scores.
Can my child's grade be changed by someone online?
Absolutely NOT! There is no possible way that someone can get in and alter a student's grades online. All grades are stored on a separate system and backed up each night. This ensures that all grades are unchangeable by anyone other than the teacher and also insures that a copy of the grades are preserved for historical records.
