UofL Honor Choir 2026: A Harmony of Talent and Leadership
We are thrilled to celebrate a significant musical milestone for our school! This year, the University of Louisville School of Music hosted its prestigious 2026 Honor Choir Festival, and our very own Chorus Director, Jill Bressler, along with three of our talented freshmen, were right in the heart of the melody. The festival, held on March 9, 2026, at the Margaret Comstock Concert Hall, brought together the finest choral voices from across Kentucky and the surrounding region.
Leadership in Action: Jill Bressler
Our program's success starts with leadership. Jill Bressler was recognized as one of the select high school choral directors who helped make this massive festival possible. Her dedication to excellence in vocal music ensured that our students were prepared to perform at a collegiate level alongside the world-renowned Cardinal Singers.Freshmen Excellence
Joining a regional Honor Choir is a major feat for any student, but it is especially impressive for those in their first year of high school. We are incredibly proud of our three representatives who earned their spots in the Honor Choir Festival Chorus:- Arieanna Brody (Alto II)
- Emery Jennings (Alto II)
- Ryan Staley (Bass II)
A Night to Remember
Under the baton of Conductor Kent Hatteberg, Ryan, Arieanna, and Emery experienced the power of a mass choir, blending their voices with peers from 32 different high schools. The concert was a beautiful testament to the hard work they put in during rehearsals and the vibrant choral community we have here at University Heights Academy. Please join us in congratulating Ms. Bressler and our freshman vocalists on this incredible achievement!
